Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: July 2026

Disconnecting a social media account

If you connected a social media account (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, or TikTok) to your ClayGen workspace, you can disconnect it yourself at any time:

  1. Sign in to your workspace.
  2. Open Marketing, then the Social tab.
  3. Find the account you want to remove and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting permanently destroys the stored access tokens for that account immediately. We keep no way to post to, or read from, a disconnected account. Records of posts already made through the platform remain in your workspace history (they contain the post text and status, never tokens), and you can delete drafts yourself at any time.

You can also revoke ClayGen's access from the social platform's own settings (for example Facebook's “Business Integrations” page). Revoking on the platform side makes any tokens we hold useless; disconnecting in ClayGen additionally deletes them from our systems.

Requesting deletion of your data

To request deletion of your ClayGen account and the personal information we hold about you, email us at privacy@claygen.ca from the address associated with your account. Tell us whether you want:

  • Social data only: we disconnect all social accounts (destroying their tokens) and delete your social post records; or
  • Full account deletion: we delete your account and associated personal information, subject to the legal retention periods described in our Privacy Policy (for example, billing records we must keep for tax purposes).

We confirm every deletion request within 30 days, as required by PIPEDA. If any data must be retained for a legal reason, we will tell you what and why.
