Microsoft 365 Management

Get the most out of your Microsoft 365 investment. We handle setup, migration, security hardening, and ongoing optimization so your team can focus on work.

Most Businesses Aren't Using M365 Properly

Microsoft 365 is powerful, but most businesses only scratch the surface. They buy licenses, set up email, and stop there, leaving security features disabled and productivity tools unused.

What We Typically Find

  • MFA not enabled (or only on some accounts)
  • Security Defaults and Conditional Access not configured
  • No email filtering beyond basic Exchange settings
  • SharePoint and OneDrive sharing set to "anyone"
  • No audit logging or alerting configured
  • Paying for Business Premium but using Business Basic features
  • Former employee accounts still active
  • No data loss prevention (DLP) policies

How We Fix It

  • MFA enforced on every account with conditional access
  • Security policies configured to Microsoft best practices
  • Advanced email filtering and anti-phishing deployed
  • Sharing policies locked down to appropriate levels
  • Unified audit log enabled with alerting on suspicious activity
  • License optimization: right license for each user role
  • Automated offboarding that disables accounts same-day
  • DLP policies protecting sensitive business data

Microsoft 365 Migration

Moving to Microsoft 365 or switching from another provider? We handle the entire migration with zero data loss and minimal disruption.

1

Assessment & Planning

We audit your current environment: email, files, applications, and users. We map out the migration plan, identify potential issues, and set a timeline.

2

Preparation

DNS records, license provisioning, user accounts, and security policies are configured before we move any data. We set up the new environment properly from the start.

3

Data Migration

Email, calendars, contacts, files, and SharePoint content are migrated during off-hours to minimize disruption. We support migrations from Gmail, on-premises Exchange, other hosted Exchange, and legacy platforms.

4

Validation & Cutover

We verify all data migrated correctly, update DNS records to point to Microsoft 365, and ensure email flow is working. Your team logs in the next morning and everything works.

5

Post-Migration Optimization

After migration, we optimize security settings, configure advanced features, train your team on new tools, and fine-tune the environment based on usage.

Microsoft Secure Score Improvement

Microsoft Secure Score is a measurement of your organization's security posture within Microsoft 365. Most businesses score below 40% when we first assess them. Our goal is to get you above 80%.

License Optimization

Many businesses overpay for Microsoft 365 by assigning the same license to every user, or underpay by using Business Basic when they need Business Premium features. We right-size your licenses.

LicenseBest ForPrice
Business BasicFrontline workers who only need email and web appsCAD $8.10/user/mo
Business StandardOffice workers who need desktop Office appsCAD $16.50/user/mo
Business PremiumEveryone. Includes Intune, advanced security, and complianceCAD $30.80/user/mo

We recommend Business Premium for most users due to the included security features (Intune, Defender, Conditional Access). The additional cost pays for itself in reduced security risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Microsoft 365 management, security, and licensing.

What is included in Microsoft 365 for business?
Microsoft 365 Business Premium includes Exchange (email), SharePoint and OneDrive (file storage), Teams (chat, meetings, voice), the desktop Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Intune (device management), Azure AD Premium (identity and access), and Defender for business (endpoint and email security). Lower tiers like Business Basic and Business Standard include subsets of this stack.
How much does Microsoft 365 cost per user?
Microsoft 365 Business pricing as of 2026 ranges from CAD $8.10 per user per month for Business Basic to CAD $30.80 per user per month for Business Premium. Enterprise plans (E3, E5) cost more and unlock advanced security and compliance features. Most businesses with 5 to 200 employees use Business Premium because it bundles security tools that would otherwise be paid separately.
Is Microsoft 365 secure by default?
No. Microsoft 365 ships with baseline security, but several critical settings are off by default, including modern authentication enforcement, MFA for all users, conditional access policies, mailbox auditing, and external sharing restrictions. We turn these on as part of every managed Microsoft 365 engagement and align the configuration to Microsoft Secure Score targets.
What is the difference between Microsoft 365 and Office 365?
Office 365 was renamed Microsoft 365 in 2020. Microsoft 365 includes everything Office 365 did, plus Windows 11 Enterprise licensing, Intune device management, and additional security and compliance tools depending on the plan. For most small businesses, the practical answer is that Microsoft 365 Business Premium is what they want.
Do I need to back up Microsoft 365?
Yes. Microsoft secures its infrastructure but does not guarantee long-term recovery of your data if you accidentally delete it, fall victim to ransomware, or have a malicious insider clear out a mailbox. Microsoft retains deleted items for limited periods and a malicious actor can purge that quickly. Third-party Microsoft 365 backup is standard practice for businesses that take data seriously.
Can I migrate from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365?
Yes, migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 are common and typically take two to six weeks depending on user count and data volume. We migrate email, calendars, contacts, Drive files, and shared drives, set up MFA and security policies, train your team, and decommission the Google tenant cleanly. Most migrations happen over a weekend with zero downtime for users.
