Microsoft Copilot Training for Your Team

Copilot is built into the Microsoft 365 apps your team already uses, but a licence nobody opens saves nothing. Our Copilot training gets people using it on their own work in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, checking what it produces, and knowing what it can see. On-site in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo or live online.

Who it is for

  • Teams that already run on Microsoft 365 and have Copilot licences, or are about to buy them.
  • Businesses whose Copilot seats are sitting barely used after the first week.
  • Owners and managers who want staff using Copilot safely before it is switched on for everyone.

What your team learns, app by app

Copilot in Outlook

Summarize a long email thread before you reply, draft or rewrite a reply, and catch up on a fifty-message chain in a quick read instead of an afternoon.

Copilot in Word

First drafts of documents and proposals, plus tightening or reworking text you already have. It is faster to edit a decent draft than to start from nothing.

Copilot in Teams

Meeting recaps with the decisions and action items pulled out, and who agreed to what, without someone taking minutes by hand.

Copilot in Excel

Ask a table questions, spot trends, and get a starting point for a formula or a chart, then check it before you rely on it.

We also cover PowerPoint for first-pass decks, and the habits that make Copilot worth keeping:

  • Write prompts that get useful first drafts, and ask follow-ups instead of starting over.
  • Treat Copilot output as a first draft: check summaries against the source and figures against the sheet.
  • Spot when an answer is wrong or made up, and know when not to rely on it.
  • Know what Copilot can see (your files, email, chats, and calendar, under your existing permissions) and what should never go into a public AI tool.
  • Follow your AI acceptable-use policy without having to look it up every time.

How the training is delivered

1

Free IT assessment

We learn what your team does day to day, which Microsoft 365 plans and Copilot licences you have, and what you want people to be able to do afterwards.

2

Training built around your work

Sessions use your real tasks, documents, and email, so the examples are yours rather than generic demos.

3

Hands-on sessions

Everyone works on their own tasks with Copilot, with us in the room or live online. Not a recorded course.

4

Policy and follow-through

Your team leaves with a clear AI usage policy they have been trained on. If you want AI built into your own systems next, that flows into Managed AI.

On-site in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo

We come to your office in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the surrounding area, so we can sit with people while they try Copilot on their own work.

Live online across Ontario

Live online sessions for teams anywhere in Ontario, or for staff spread across locations. Same hands-on format, same focus on your real work.

Your data and Copilot

Microsoft 365 Copilot keeps processing within your Microsoft 365 tenant, your business content is not used to train the public foundation models, and Copilot respects each person's existing permissions: it can only see files they could already open.

The catch is oversharing. Files in SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams that are shared more widely than anyone intended become far easier to surface once Copilot is on. If we also manage your Microsoft 365, we can check sharing and permissions before rollout, so Copilot only surfaces what each person should see. Training pairs with an AI acceptable-use policy so everyone knows what can go where; start from our free AI acceptable-use policy template.

Microsoft Copilot Training FAQ

Does ClayGen offer Microsoft Copilot training?
Yes. ClayGen trains teams on Microsoft 365 Copilot across Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, using your own tasks rather than generic demos. Sessions run on-site in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and nearby, or live online for teams anywhere in Ontario.
Who is Microsoft Copilot training for?
It is for teams that already run on Microsoft 365 and have Copilot, or are about to buy it. ClayGen focuses on getting people to use it on their everyday work, because a per-seat Copilot licence only pays off if the people holding those seats actually use it.
Do we need Copilot licences before training?
For hands-on Microsoft 365 Copilot training, the people being trained need Copilot licences. A general AI workshop can use the free or business versions of tools like ChatGPT and Copilot Chat instead. ClayGen can help you decide who actually needs a licence, so you do not pay for seats nobody uses.
Is Microsoft 365 Copilot safe to use with company data?
It can be, with the right preparation. Copilot keeps processing within your Microsoft 365 tenant, does not train public models on your content, and only sees files a person already has access to. The weak point is oversharing: files shared too broadly become easy to surface. If ClayGen also manages your Microsoft 365, we check sharing and permissions before rollout.
How is the Copilot training delivered?
ClayGen delivers Copilot training as live, hands-on sessions, either on-site at your office in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the surrounding area, or live online for teams anywhere in Ontario. It is not a recorded course. Everyone works on their own tasks with Copilot during the session.
How much does Copilot training cost?
ClayGen prices Copilot training to the number of people, the number of sessions, and whether you also want an AI acceptable-use policy written. We quote per team after a free IT assessment, so you only pay for training that fits your business.
