AI Training for Your Team in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo

Your staff are probably already using ChatGPT or Copilot, with or without a plan. Our AI training turns that into skill: hands-on workshops on your own work, Microsoft Copilot training, a straight-talking session for owners and managers, and an AI policy your people will actually follow. On-site or live online.

What we train

Staff AI workshops

Hands-on sessions where your people use ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar tools on their own real work: drafting, summarising, research, and spreadsheets. They leave knowing what to ask, how to check the answer, and what never to paste in.

Microsoft Copilot training

Practical Copilot training across Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, built around your team's actual tasks. If we also manage your Microsoft 365, we can check sharing and permissions before rollout, so Copilot only surfaces what each person should see.

Owner and leadership session

A focused briefing for owners and managers: where AI genuinely pays off in a business your size, the real risks, what to budget, and how to lead adoption so it sticks instead of fizzling after one lunch-and-learn.

AI policy and rollout

An acceptable-use policy written for your business, PIPEDA-aware data rules, and training so every employee understands it. Unapproved use of public AI tools is a common way company data leaks; a clear policy closes that gap.

What your team will be able to do

  • Write prompts that get useful first drafts of emails, proposals, reports, and job descriptions.
  • Summarise long documents, meeting notes, and email threads, and check the summary against the source.
  • Use Copilot inside Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams for the tasks they already do every day.
  • Spot when an AI answer is wrong or made up, and know when not to rely on it.
  • Know exactly what company and client information must never go into a public AI tool, and why.
  • Follow your AI policy without having to look it up every time.

How it works

1

Free consultation

We learn what your team does, which AI tools you have or are considering, and what you want people to be able to do afterwards.

2

Training built around your work

Sessions use your real tasks, documents, and systems, so the examples are yours rather than generic demos.

3

Hands-on sessions

On-site in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo, or live online for teams anywhere in Ontario. Everyone works on their own tasks with the tools.

4

Policy and follow-through

Your team leaves with a clear AI usage policy they have been trained on. If you want AI built into your systems next, that flows into Managed AI.

On-site or online

On-site in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo

We come to your office in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the surrounding area. In-person works best for hands-on workshops, because we can sit with people while they try it on their own work.

Live online across Ontario

Live online sessions for teams anywhere in Ontario, or for staff spread across locations. Same hands-on format, same focus on your real work. Not a recorded course.

Training, consulting, or Managed AI?

  • AI training (this page) gets your people using the AI tools you already have, safely and well.
  • AI consulting and implementation decides where AI pays off in your operation and puts it in place.
  • Managed AI builds AI into the systems you run on, then runs, monitors, and secures it for a flat monthly fee.

AI Training FAQ

Who provides AI training for businesses in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo?
ClayGen, a Guelph IT and AI company, provides AI training for businesses in Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and across Ontario: staff ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot workshops, owner and leadership sessions, and AI policy rollout. Sessions are delivered on-site or live online.
What does AI training for employees cover?
Practical use of AI on everyday work: writing good prompts, drafting and summarising, working in Copilot inside Microsoft 365, checking AI output for errors, and knowing what company or client information must never go into a public AI tool. We build the examples around your team's real tasks.
Do you offer Microsoft Copilot training?
Yes. We train teams on Microsoft 365 Copilot across Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, using your own tasks. If we also manage your Microsoft 365, we can check sharing and permissions before rollout, so Copilot only surfaces information each person is already allowed to see.
Do we need Copilot licences before training?
Not for a general AI workshop, which can use the free or business versions of tools like ChatGPT and Copilot Chat. For hands-on Microsoft 365 Copilot training, the people being trained need Copilot licences. We can help you decide who actually needs one, so you do not pay for seats nobody uses.
Is it safe for staff to use ChatGPT with company information?
It depends on the tool, the account type, and what is pasted in. Free consumer accounts can keep and use what you type, so client details, financials, and personal information should not go in. Training and a clear acceptable-use policy are how you keep the benefits without the data leaks. Our free AI policy template is a good starting point.
How much does AI training cost?
It depends on the number of people, the number of sessions, and whether you want a policy written as well. We quote per team after a free consultation, so you only pay for training that fits your business.
Is the training in person or online?
Both. We run sessions on-site in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and nearby, and live online for teams anywhere in Ontario.
